Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to all customers using services provided by Green Tech Repairs.
This includes:
- Walk-in customers
- Repair by Post customers
- Residential customers
- Business customers
- Commercial customers
- Customers purchasing custom-built PC systems
By authorising any repair, service, quotation or purchase, the customer confirms they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
2. Services Provided
Green Tech Repairs provides electronic repair and technology services including, but not limited to:
- Mobile phone repairs
- Tablet repairs
- Laptop repairs
- Desktop computer repairs
- All-in-One PC repairs
- Apple Mac repairs
- Gaming console repairs
- Hardware upgrades
- Software installation and troubleshooting
- Operating system installation and recovery
- Virus and malware removal
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Data-related services
- Component replacement
- Custom-built PC systems
- Gaming PC builds
- Business device repairs and support
3. Customer Ownership Declaration
The customer confirms that they:
- Are the legal owner of the device; or
- Have permission from the legal owner to authorise repairs; and
- Have authority to approve any work requested.
Green Tech Repairs accepts no responsibility for disputes relating to device ownership or authority to authorise repairs.
4. Device Condition on Arrival
All devices are inspected when received.
Where appropriate, Green Tech Repairs may record:
- Existing damage
- Scratches, cracks, dents or cosmetic damage
- Missing parts or accessories
- Previous repair attempts
- Signs of liquid damage
- Tampering or modifications
- Photographs of the device condition
Customers acknowledge that some faults, damage or defects may not be visible during the initial inspection and may only become apparent during diagnosis or repair.
5. Accessories
Customers should only provide accessories required for diagnosis or testing.
- Chargers
- Power supplies
- Controllers
- Cables
- Docking stations
- Adapters
Green Tech Repairs accepts no responsibility for accessories that are not recorded on the repair intake documentation.
6. Diagnostics and Fault Finding
Most devices require diagnostic testing before repair work can proceed.
Diagnostic charges may apply where:
- The customer declines the repair.
- The device cannot be repaired.
- Replacement parts are unavailable.
- Additional faults are discovered.
- The device is beyond economical repair.
Diagnostic fees cover professional assessment, testing, fault finding and repair evaluation.
Diagnostic fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. No Fix / Beyond Economical Repair
Some devices cannot be repaired due to:
- Severe damage
- Component failure
- Liquid damage
- Previous repair attempts
- Lack of replacement parts
- Manufacturer limitations
- The repair cost exceeding the value of the device
Where repair cannot be completed, diagnostic fees, postage costs and any ordered parts may remain payable.
8. Repair Quotations
All repair quotations issued by Green Tech Repairs are valid for 7 working days.
Prices may change due to:
- Component price changes
- Supplier availability
- Market changes
- Courier costs
A quotation is not binding until accepted and confirmed by Green Tech Repairs.
9. Repair Timescales
Standard repair times are approximately: 1–7 working days
Timescales depend on:
- Courier delivery times
- Component availability
- Supplier delays
- Repair complexity
- Additional faults discovered during testing
All repair times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.
10. Payment Terms
All invoices issued by Green Tech Repairs are payable upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Devices, repaired items, accessories and custom-built PCs will not be released until payment has been received in full.
Green Tech Repairs reserves the right to retain devices until all outstanding balances have been cleared.

11. Repair Warranty
Green Tech Repairs provides a 40-day workmanship warranty covering labour carried out by Green Tech Repairs.
Replacement components supplied by Green Tech Repairs are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable.
Manufacturer warranty periods vary depending on the component supplied.
12. Warranty Exclusions
The Green Tech Repairs workmanship warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage
- Physical damage
- Liquid damage
- Moisture damage
- Power surges or electrical faults
- Misuse or neglect
- Software issues
- Viruses or malware
- Customer modifications
- Third-party repairs
- Normal wear and tear
13. Liquid Damage Disclaimer
Liquid-damaged devices are repaired strictly on a best-efforts basis only.
Liquid damage can cause:
- Micro corrosion
- PCB trace damage
- Hidden component failure
- Progressive deterioration
- Future faults after repair
Due to the unpredictable nature of liquid damage:
- No warranty is provided on liquid-damaged devices.
- A successful repair does not guarantee long-term reliability.
- Additional faults may appear after repair.
By authorising repair of a liquid-damaged device, the customer accepts these risks.
14. Data Protection and Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for backing up all personal and business data before submitting any device for repair.
Green Tech Repairs accepts no responsibility for:
- Data loss
- Corrupted files
- Lost passwords
- Lost accounts
- Software licences
- Personal information stored on devices
Customer information is treated confidentially and accessed only where required for diagnosis, repair, testing or customer-requested services.
15. Passwords and Security Access
Customers may be required to provide passwords, PIN codes or other access information to allow full testing.
If access information is not provided, complete testing may not be possible.
Green Tech Repairs cannot be held responsible for faults that cannot be verified due to restricted access.
16. Repair By Post
Customers using the Green Tech Repairs Repair by Post service are responsible for ensuring devices are packaged securely.
We recommend:
- Secure protective packaging
- Bubble wrap or suitable protective materials
- Tracked delivery
- Adequate insurance cover
Green Tech Repairs accepts no responsibility for damage or loss occurring during delivery to our premises.
17. Return Shipping Insurance
Green Tech Repairs strongly recommends insured return delivery.
If a customer chooses to decline insurance for the return of their repaired device, they accept responsibility for any loss, theft or damage occurring during transit after the device has been handed to the courier.
Green Tech Repairs is not liable for uninsured courier loss or damage once the device has left our possession.
18. Custom-Built PCs
Green Tech Repairs designs and builds custom computer systems according to customer requirements.
Customers are responsible for approving:
- Components
- Specifications
- Performance requirements
- Budget
- Intended usage
All custom PC quotations are valid for 7 working days.
19. Custom PC Build Times
Custom-built PC systems are normally completed within approximately: 5–10 working days.
Build times depend upon:
- Component availability
- Supplier delivery times
- Testing requirements
- Customer specification changes
20. Custom PC Warranty
Custom-built PCs include a 40-day workmanship warranty.
Individual hardware components are covered by manufacturer warranty where applicable.
Warranty does not cover:
- Overclocking
- User modifications
- Software changes
- Liquid damage
- Physical damage
- Incorrect use
- Unauthorised upgrades
21. Customer-Supplied Parts
Customers may request installation of their own components.
Green Tech Repairs provides no warranty on customer-supplied parts.
Labour charges remain payable regardless of whether customer-supplied components fail.
22. Component Availability
If a selected component becomes unavailable, Green Tech Repairs may contact the customer with suitable alternatives.
Any replacement component offered will be of equal or improved specification where reasonably possible.
23. Testing
Green Tech Repairs carries out testing appropriate to the device and repair completed.
Testing may include:
- Hardware diagnostics
- Stability testing
- Performance testing
- Operating system checks
- Functional testing
24. Returns and Refunds
Refunds are considered in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
The following may not be refundable:
- Completed diagnostic work
- Labour already completed
- Special-order components
- Completed services
- Courier costs already incurred
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects the customer’s statutory rights.
25. Customer Communication
Customers must provide accurate and current contact information.
Green Tech Repairs may communicate using:
- Telephone
Customers are responsible for responding to repair updates, quotations and collection notifications.

By submitting a device for repair, requesting a diagnosis, approving a quotation, purchasing a custom-built PC, using our Repair by Post service, or leaving any device or equipment with Green Tech Repairs, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
26. Uncollected Devices
Completed repairs, repaired devices, unrepaired devices and customer property must be collected within 31 days of notification that the device is ready.
Customers will be contacted using the details provided on the repair intake form.
If a device remains uncollected after this period, Green Tech Repairs reserves the right, where legally permitted, to:
- Apply reasonable storage charges.
- Recover outstanding repair, diagnostic or storage costs.
- Dispose of or sell the device where permitted by law to recover outstanding balances.
Any action taken will be carried out in accordance with applicable UK legislation.
27. Business Customers
Business customers confirm that they have the authority to request repairs and approve work on behalf of their organisation.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all business invoices are payable upon receipt.
Business customers remain responsible for:
- Device ownership
- Data backup
- Authorising repairs
- Providing accurate information
28. Hazardous Materials, Contamination and Additional Cleaning Charges
Green Tech Repairs is committed to maintaining a safe working environment for employees, customers and visitors.
Where a device is received in a condition that presents a health, hygiene or safety risk, additional cleaning and decontamination may be required before diagnostic or repair work can begin.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Excessive pet hair or animal fur
- Biological contamination
- Bodily fluids
- Heavy nicotine residue
- Mould or fungal growth
- Insect infestation
- Excessive dirt, dust or debris
- Grease, oil or industrial contamination
- Chemical contamination
- Any hazardous substance presenting a risk to staff
Where contamination is identified, a mandatory Deep Cleaning and Decontamination Charge of £30.00 may apply.
This charge covers additional labour, specialist cleaning materials, PPE, safe handling procedures and appropriate disposal of contaminated materials.
Where contamination creates an unacceptable health or safety risk, Green Tech Repairs reserves the right to refuse repair and return the device where safe and lawful to do so.
29. Damaged, Swollen or Hazardous Batteries
Lithium-ion batteries that are swollen, leaking, punctured, damaged, overheating or unstable may present a serious risk of fire, explosion, chemical leakage or injury.
If a hazardous battery is identified during inspection, diagnosis or repair, Green Tech Repairs reserves the right to suspend all work until the device has been made safe.
Green Tech Repairs may:
- Recommend immediate battery replacement.
- Remove the battery where safe and necessary.
- Refuse repair where the device presents an unacceptable risk.
- Place the device into appropriate safe storage.
- Return the device without the hazardous battery where safe and lawful.
If the customer declines battery replacement and requests the return of the device, Green Tech Repairs may remove the hazardous battery and return the device without the battery installed.
The customer acknowledges that the device may not operate until a suitable replacement battery has been professionally installed.
30. Hazardous Battery Return and Disposal
Where a battery is considered unsafe, leaking or hazardous, Green Tech Repairs will not knowingly return or transport the battery where this may create a risk to customers, employees, couriers or members of the public.
Where a hazardous battery cannot be safely or lawfully returned, Green Tech Repairs reserves the right to arrange disposal through an appropriate authorised recycling or waste disposal process.
Reasonable charges may apply for:
- Battery removal
- Specialist handling
- Safe storage
- Disposal costs
By submitting a device for repair, the customer authorises Green Tech Repairs to take reasonable action necessary to make the device safe where a hazardous battery is identified.
31. Right to Refuse Service
Green Tech Repairs reserves the right to refuse service where:
- The device presents a health or safety risk.
- The repair would be unlawful.
- The device is contaminated beyond safe handling.
- The customer behaves abusively or threatens staff.
- The repair is technically impossible.
32. Limitation of Liability
Green Tech Repairs will take reasonable care of all customer devices while in our possession.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Green Tech Repairs shall not be liable for indirect losses, loss of business, loss of profits or consequential losses arising from repair services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes any rights or protections provided under UK consumer law.
33. Force Majeure
Green Tech Repairs shall not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Supplier delays
- Courier disruption
- Power failures
- Extreme weather
- Government restrictions
- Other unforeseen events

35. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of England and Wales.
36. Customer Declaration and Acceptance
By submitting a device, requesting repair, approving a quotation or purchasing a custom-built PC, the customer confirms:
- I have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
- I confirm I have authority to request this work.
- I understand diagnostic, repair and additional charges may apply.
- I understand Green Tech Repairs is not responsible for customer data loss.
- I understand the risks associated with liquid damage and hazardous batteries.
