Green Tech Repairs – Terms & Service Agreement

This Terms & Service Agreement applies to all services provided by Green Tech Repairs, including diagnostics, repair work, postal handling, courier transport, and device inspection across all service tiers. By submitting a device for service, paying for diagnostics, or using our systems, you agree to be bound by these terms in full.

1. Nature of Service

Green Tech Repairs provides technical diagnostic and repair services for electronic devices. All services begin with a diagnostic investigation which is non-destructive where possible, but may require device disassembly. Diagnostics are investigative only and do not guarantee repair outcomes or successful restoration.

2. Diagnostic Fees & Non-Refundability

  • All diagnostic fees are strictly non-refundable once work has commenced.
  • Payment confirms authorisation for inspection, testing, and fault analysis.
  • Diagnostic services cover labour, expertise, and technical investigation only.
  • No guarantee of repair is implied or expressed through payment of diagnostics.

3. Service Tiers

  • Bronze: Standard diagnostics and fault identification.
  • Silver: Enhanced diagnostics including power, thermal, and component testing.
  • Platinum: Priority diagnostics with detailed reporting and expedited handling.

Service tier selection affects diagnostic depth and priority only. It does not guarantee repair success or parts availability.

4. Device Condition & Risk Acknowledgement

  • Devices may deteriorate further during testing if pre-existing faults exist.
  • Liquid damage, corrosion, and electrical instability may worsen during diagnostics.
  • Opening a damaged device may expose latent or secondary failures.
  • Green Tech Repairs accepts no liability for failures arising from pre-existing conditions.

5. Previous Repairs & Non-Standard Parts

Devices that have been previously repaired, modified, or fitted with non-original, refurbished, or third-party components may behave unpredictably. We accept no responsibility for faults arising from prior workmanship or non-standard parts.

6. Data & Storage Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up all data prior to submission. We do not guarantee preservation of data and accept no liability for data loss under any circumstances during transport, diagnostics, or repair.

7. Packaging & Transit Responsibility

Where Green Tech Repairs supplies packaging materials, they are provided as a courtesy only.

  • The customer remains fully responsible for correct and secure packaging.
  • This applies to all service tiers without exception.
  • We accept no liability for damage caused during transit due to inadequate packaging or courier handling.

8. Hazardous Devices & Cleaning Charges

Devices presented in hazardous condition may incur additional handling or cleaning charges of £30. Hazardous conditions include but are not limited to:

  • Excessive dust or debris
  • Pet hair contamination
  • Biological residue or contamination risk
  • Unsafe internal environmental conditions

9. Abandoned Devices

  • Devices uncollected or unclaimed after 31 days may be treated as abandoned.
  • Reasonable attempts will be made to contact the customer.
  • After this period, devices may be disposed of, recycled, or sold to recover costs.

10. Timeframes & Availability

All repair and diagnostic timeframes are estimates only. Delays may occur due to courier services, parts availability, or workload demand. We accept no liability for delays outside our reasonable control.

11. Payment Terms

  • Payment is required prior to diagnostics commencing.
  • Payment confirms full authorisation for service processing.
  • Chargebacks for completed diagnostic work will be disputed with full documentation.

12. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is strictly limited to the value of the diagnostic service purchased. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including loss of data, revenue, or device value.

13. Legal Agreement & Digital Signature

By signing below you confirm that:

  • You understand this is a diagnostic-only service
  • You accept all risks associated with inspection and testing
  • You agree to all terms stated within this agreement
