Forensic Intake: Unified Desktop Systems

Scope: Mini, Slim, Tower, Workstation & Home Theatre PCs

1. System Architecture

Why this matters: Identifying the chassis type tells our technicians the Component Scale. Mini/Slim PCs use low-profile or proprietary modules, while Towers use standard ATX parts.

2. Primary Fault Classification

3. Data Backup & Storage Forensics

CRITICAL: For Modular Replacement, if a motherboard or storage drive is faulty, a full swap is performed. This may result in a fresh OS installation. Ensure your data is backed up before shipping.

4. Power Delivery Infrastructure

Forensic Note: Mini and Slim PCs often use an External AC Adapter (Brick). If you are shipping a Mini/Slim unit, you must include the original power brick so we can test the voltage delivery under load.

5. Mandatory Packaging Compliance

IMPORTANT: For Towers, internal components (like heavy GPUs) must be braced. For Mini PCs, ensure the unit is not rattling. The responsibility for secure packing remains entirely with the customer. Use a double-walled box for all units.
