If your computer, games console or other electronic equipment is experiencing fan-related problems, unusual fan noise, fan speed issues, poor airflow, overheating or other cooling symptoms, tell us what is happening and we will assess the reported fault.
Fan Problems
Fans are important for moving heat away from electronic equipment. Fan problems can appear as no fan movement, intermittent operation, excessive fan speed, unusual noise, vibration, weak airflow, overheating or shutdowns.
Not every device uses the same cooling arrangement, and not every fan-related fault will be suitable for repair. Our assessment is used to establish what is happening and determine the appropriate next step.
If equipment becomes excessively hot, produces a burning smell, shows signs of burning or melting, or produces smoke or fumes, stop using it and disconnect power where safe to do so. Contact Green Tech Repairs before continuing to use the equipment.

The diagnostic service is designed to establish the reported fan problem and determine the appropriate course of action.
Assessment may include inspection of fans, fan housings and mountings, visible obstructions, airflow and reported operating symptoms, together with appropriate functional testing where practical and safe.
If a repair or service is practical and appropriate, we will advise accordingly. If repair is not appropriate, we will advise on the next suitable option.
Parts and labour for any separately agreed repair are not included in the diagnostic fee unless specifically stated.
