Why Have a Cooling Problem Assessed?

Cooling problems can develop for a number of reasons, including restricted airflow, dust build-up, blocked vents, fan problems, unusual fan behaviour, overheating or other cooling-system faults.

A cooling problem can also cause reduced performance, unexpected shutdowns, instability or excessive operating noise. An assessment allows us to establish the reported symptoms and determine the appropriate next step.

Safety first: If equipment becomes excessively hot, produces a burning smell, shows signs of melting or burning, or becomes unsafe to handle, stop using it and disconnect it from power where safe to do so. Contact Green Tech Repairs before continuing to use it.

Our assessment may include inspection of the equipment, cooling areas, visible airflow restrictions, fans and reported operating symptoms, together with appropriate functional testing where practical and safe.

If a repair or service is practical and appropriate, we will advise accordingly. If repair is not appropriate, we will advise on the next suitable option.

Parts and labour for any separately agreed repair are not included in the diagnostic fee unless specifically stated.
