Android Phone Faults We Can Assess

1. Phone Not Turning On, No Power & Dead Android Phone
Important: An Android phone that appears completely dead may have a battery, charging, display, power-management or motherboard-related fault. Assessment is required before identifying the failed component.
2. Charging Problems, Slow Charging & Not Charging
Charging warning: Use a charger and cable appropriate for the Android phone and its fast-charging requirements. Do not force a connector into a damaged or obstructed USB-C or Micro-USB port.
3. Battery Problems, Battery Drain & Battery Swelling
Battery safety warning: If an Android phone has a swollen battery, stop using and charging it. Do not press, puncture, bend, short-circuit or attempt to open a swollen battery. Swollen batteries must not be posted or sent by courier to Green Tech Repairs.
4. Screen, Display, OLED/AMOLED & Image Problems
Display warning: Display faults can originate from the screen assembly, display connection, graphics hardware, power circuitry or physical damage. Exact model and construction determine whether replacement is practical.
5. Cracked, Broken, Damaged or Lifting Screen
Screen warning: Cracked glass can expose sharp edges and continued use may cause further damage. A screen lifting from the housing can indicate battery swelling and should not be pressed back into place.
6. Touchscreen Not Responding, Ghost Touch & Fingerprint Sensor Problems
Touchscreen warning: Many Android phone touch assemblies and OLED panels are bonded and model-specific. Physical damage to the display assembly may affect image, touch and biometric fingerprint functions.
7. Power, Volume & Physical Button Problems
Physical control warning: Button faults may involve the external button, internal switch, flex assembly or surrounding physical damage.
8. USB-C, Micro-USB & Charging Port Problems
Port warning: Do not force USB-C or Micro-USB connectors into damaged or obstructed ports. Physical port damage may affect charging and data functions.
9. Earpiece, Speaker, Microphone & Audio Problems
Audio warning: Audio faults can originate from speakers, microphones, earpiece modules, software settings or internal circuitry.
10. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data & SIM Connectivity
Connectivity warning: Network faults can involve the phone, operating system, configuration, antenna system, SIM card, carrier or external network. Assessment is required before identifying the cause.
11. Cameras, Flash & Sensor Problems
Component warning: Camera modules, multi-lens assemblies and camera glass covers are model-specific and availability of replacement parts varies.
12. Storage, Memory, SD Cards & Internal Storage
Storage warning: Android phones use soldered internal storage (UFS/eMMC) that cannot be upgraded in the same way as desktop PC components. Do not format storage containing important data without understanding what will be erased.
13. Android Operating-System, UI & App Problems
Software warning: Operating-system procedures vary by manufacturer (e.g. Samsung, Google, Motorola, Xiaomi) and exact model. Some recovery and reinstallation procedures can erase data.
14. Boot Loop, Recovery Mode, System Update & Firmware Problems
Firmware warning: Do not interrupt an active firmware update unless instructed to do so. Firmware and recovery procedures vary by exact model and manufacturer.
15. Apps, Performance, Freezing, Crashing & Slow Phone
Performance warning: Slow performance can be caused by software, storage, memory limitations, thermal problems, battery condition or failing hardware. Assessment is required before identifying the cause.
16. Google Account, Factory Reset Protection (FRP) & Lock Problems
Security warning: Green Tech Repairs cannot bypass legitimate account security, Google FRP locks or authentication controls. Do not provide passwords, PINs or other login credentials through the enquiry form.
17. Overheating, Thermal Problems & Liquid Damage
Liquid and heat warning: Do not continue charging an Android phone after liquid exposure. Liquid damage can cause corrosion and delayed component failure. Green Tech Repairs does not provide a warranty on liquid-damage repairs.
18. Physical Damage, Housing, Frame, Ports & Internal Damage
Physical damage warning: Physical damage can affect more than one internal component. Some faults may require specialist board-level work that Green Tech Repairs does not provide.
19. Phone Accessories, Cases, Wireless Chargers & External Devices
Accessory warning: Compatibility depends on the exact Android phone model, operating system, connector and accessory. An accessory fault does not automatically indicate a phone hardware fault.

How Our Android Phone Review Works

Reported Symptoms

We start with the symptoms you have reported and establish what the Android phone is doing, when the fault occurs and whether it is repeatable.

Phone Make & Model

The exact make (e.g. Samsung, Google, Motorola, Xiaomi) and model matters because construction, components, operating systems and repairability vary significantly.

Power & Charging

Where relevant, we assess power behaviour, charging response, battery condition and charging-port symptoms.

Hardware & Connectivity

Relevant hardware and connectivity functions can be assessed according to the reported symptoms.

Software & Firmware

Where appropriate, software, operating-system, update and firmware symptoms are considered as part of the review.

Repair Recommendation

Once the phone is sent in or brought to us, we explain the repair route, parts requirements and any limitations that apply.
