Packaging Guide: Ultra-Thin Laptop
1. Preparation
- System State: Completely power off. Never ship in Sleep or Hibernation mode.
- Screen Protection: Place a premium, thin microfiber cloth between the display and the keyboard to prevent key-marking or pressure cracks.
- Structural Integrity: These units lack thick internal bracing. Ensure the laptop is placed on a flat, rigid surface inside the packaging to prevent bending.
2. The Box-in-Box Method
- Inner Box: Wrap the unit in 6cm of anti-static foam wrap and place it in a custom-fit, rigid inner carton.
- Outer Box: Use a new, double-wall corrugated box providing 14cm of clearance on every side.
- Cushioning: Utilize high-density industrial foam blocks to ensure the unit is fully immobilized.
3. Labelling & Documentation
- Fragile Labelling: Affix “FRAGILE – ULTRA-THIN ELECTRONICS” and “HANDLE WITH CARE” labels on all sides.
- Documentation: Include your full name, return address, and service reference inside the box.
Important: Ensure full insurance coverage, as the display panels in ultra-thin laptops are extremely delicate and susceptible to pressure-induced failure.
