Acer Aspire All-in-One C Series — Comprehensive Shipping & Preparation Guide

Professional Technical Transport Protocol for Safe Delivery & Repair

Why Proper Packing Matters

The Acer Aspire All-in-One C Series has a large fragile display, slim chassis, and adjustable stand. The screen, hinge, and internal components are highly vulnerable to impact and pressure during shipping.

1. Pre-Packing Preparation

  1. Power off completely and unplug the power cord for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Disconnect all cables and peripherals.
  3. Remove any USB drives or external devices.
  4. Clean the screen and body with a dry microfiber cloth only.
  5. Photograph the device from all angles, including serial number and existing damage.
  6. Backup data if possible.
  7. Ship only the All-in-One unit (no keyboard, mouse, or accessories unless instructed).

2. Wrapping & Protection

  • Use high-quality large-bubble anti-static bubble wrap.
  • Wrap the entire unit in at least 4 full overlapping layers.
  • Apply extra padding on the screen, corners, hinge, and rear ports.
  • Secure bubble wrap only to itself — never apply tape directly to the device or screen.

3. Boxing & Cushioning

  • Use a sturdy double-walled corrugated cardboard box.
  • Maintain 2–4 inches of clearance on all six sides.
  • Line the bottom and top with 3–4 inches of high-density cushioning (bubble wrap, foam, or packing peanuts).
  • Center the wrapped unit and fill all gaps completely so it cannot shift or rattle.
  • Double-boxing is highly recommended for maximum protection.

Shake Test: Shake and tilt the sealed box in all directions. The device must not move or rattle at all. Readjust cushioning if needed.

4. Sealing & Reinforcement

  • Use 2–3 inch high-quality packing tape.
  • Apply the H-Taping method across all seams on top and bottom, plus reinforce all edges.
  • Seal every flap securely.

5. Labeling & Documentation

  • Attach shipping label clearly and cover with clear tape.
  • Apply “FRAGILE — HANDLE WITH CARE”, “THIS SIDE UP”, and “ELECTRONICS” stickers on multiple sides.
  • Place inside the box (in a sealed plastic bag): RMA number, contact info, issue description, and printed photos.

6. Shipping Best Practices

  • Use a reputable carrier with full insurance and tracking.
  • Insure for the full replacement value of the device.
  • Ship promptly after receiving RMA approval.
  • For international shipments: Declare as “Electronics for Repair — No Commercial Value”.
