Rugged Tablet — Transport & Query Protocol
1. Mandatory Packaging Protocol
- Pre-Packing: Power down the device fully. Remove all external mounting hardware, ruggedized hand straps, or scanning sleds and pack them separately.
- Screen Protection: Apply a clean, adhesive-free protective film or place a microfiber cloth over the screen to prevent surface scratches from accidental debris.
- Chassis Protection: Wrap the tablet in two layers of anti-static, shock-absorbing bubble wrap.
- Boxing: Utilize a rigid, double-walled corrugated cardboard box.
- Cushioning: Use high-density, impact-resistant foam blocks to create a minimum 75mm (3″) buffer on all six sides. Ensure the ruggedized chassis is immobilized within the packing foam.
- Structural Sealing: Apply reinforced industrial packing tape using the H-method across all seams to ensure the package remains airtight and secure.
- Labeling: Clearly mark the exterior “Fragile: Industrial Electronics” and “This Side Up.”
